I. I have the honor to bethnowledge receipt of Your Grace's Despatch, Separate, of 10th September last, calling for a Confidential Report of the Characters and qualification, of public servants and candidates for employment nnd promotions in this Colony, with the age and state of health of each offices or canditate II. I proceed to lay sus Report before You. Grow, pleming that in most cases the age is given as approximate, for it might be inconvement to ascertain the point by direct interrogatory.

III. I have also to Kmart that although a dist is Hipt of Candidates for Employments
